Seniors generally feel vulnerable to falls, which are the leading cause of injury-related deaths for older adults. Each year one-third of adults 65 and older living in the community experience a fall—an occurrence that can severely impact their quality of life.
SAGE’s Fall Prevention Initiative educates seniors to reduce their chances of falling. In addition, SAGE hosts a series of Fall Prevention Forums for seniors that provide information and health screenings for vision, blood pressure, and bone density, as well as balance assessments.
